If anyone wants to see what the correct '31-'32 mirror-clock looks like, go here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2489305828&ssPageName=STRK:MEDW:IT
Just the way the JYD described it.
Mr. Bill, do you have this accessory's picture on the '31 & '32 site?

JYD, Looks like someone took the clock off the back and put it on upside down. No wonder the clock does not work as the stem to wind it is behind the mirror. It should be visable sticking past the edge of the mirror.
How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!

Exactly! That's what I told Gator last week when he bid on the clock. Did you notice what the clock went for as well? Imagine what it would have sold for if the stupid clock was working!

I'm waiting for you (JYD) to part with one of your mirror-clocks that works.
Bet you have some in their original boxes.
Sharing is cool...

Just a short note to let fellows know that I'm selling a 1932 rear view mirror with clock on Ebay. #2490168936 . I paid alot of money for it eight years ago and probably asking too much now. Yes it does work and has a stem wind on the right hand side. I think its pretty much original however I don't know for sure. If you have any questions or would like additional pictures, please email me at ricknpat@hotmail.com . The reason for selling is I parted with my 32 Chevy last week and now clearing out some of the things that I never got around to putting on the car.
Best regards,Rick

Checked out your mirror clock before your posting, and it looks like the hands on the clock might been changed at one time. Yep, as you stated, the price is up there, however, knowing eBay, someone will probably bid on it. I guess that my new old stock mirror clock, in the original box, is worth way more than I thought it was. Good luck with your auction.

The hands on the other clock (top of page) are the original style, JYD?

Beautiful clock, Bill. Really beautiful...
I didn't know that they came in a square shape also or was the square in '31 and the round in '32?
PS, got an extra one you don't need?

Gator, they don't! 1931 and 1932 mirror clocks are round only, as stated on other postings. The mirror clock that Billy Boy Barker has shown is a 1933, not a 1931-32, and it appears that Biily Boy's 1933 mirror clock is in a 1931-32 box. :( :( :( :(

This is what I thought went we discussed the mirror-clock on other threads in the past and when the clock was described there seemed to be no disagreements.
It is a beautiful clock...
So my search continues...

I need help with identifying a mirror clock I purchased. It has an amber mirror finish with rounded ends. The clock is made by the New Haven Clock Company. The face is brown with cream numbers from 1-12, and cream colored hands. It has the Chevrolet emblem located below the twelve. Anyone have any idea about the application for this one?

When I got my '32 from the original family who purchased it in '32 one thing that was missing was the clock. The mirror was there with a nice round blank hole, but no clock, so replacing it has been a mission for me ever since Chatter (you guys) threads told me that there should be a clock in the hole.
So if you see one like the one posted at top of page please let me know...thanks.
A "mission"...not "mission impossible"...I hope.
