I've got a touchy ignition switch where you have to jiggle the key for contact, I was told rebuilding is a very tedious and possibly disastorous process so I'm on the hunt for a 1934 Standard ignition switch. Anyone have one for sale?

A new switch and eletrolock cable come as a unit. There is a person on this site and a VCCA member that rebuilds them. The 1933-34 have become rather difficult to find.
If yours has already been replaced with an after market the original B&S door key will be and look different from the ign. ket....original door and ign. key was the same.

Thanks Gene, my mechanic said it was a 4 -5 hour job to rebuild and at $65 an hour that's a hard one to swallow.

Your "mechanic" is attempting to rip you off! If you have the original electrolock you can repair it yourself.

wink  :)
