Got a new entry for the "Travels with BillyBob" section. This one documents the ride to and from a Christmas on the St. Lucie River. I am invited up to Stuart, Florida almost every year to spend Christmas Dinner with old friends Bill and Fay Clark. This usually takes a hour each way on I-95 but, with BillyBob's help, I managed to turn it into a five hour beach cruise. Christmas on the St. Lucie River

Thanx, MrMack. I almost got the GPS and sfw for my laptop, but decided I didn't have enuf hands and eyeballs to run it on the road while trying to steer BillBob, so I went for the Garmin StreetPilot c340. I still carry paper maps too as a backup in case of battery failure, sfw glitches, or EMP.

I think it is OK to haul around all sorts of maps, compasses, GSP's, Laptops, navigators, stop watches, cell phone, calibrated odometers,...as long as a male driver NEVER stops and asks a local quick-stop clerk, or sidewalk stroller for directions, come hell or highwater!!!!!

I agree, MrMack! To paraphrase Captain Nathan Brittles from John Ford's "She wore a yellow ribbon" -
"Never ask directions, it's a sign of weakness"
