I have a 1987 Chev 4x4 Silverado that I have restored to almost 100%, but I need a few small things. I need a good shop in the Snohomish area that can adjust the fuel injection, adjust the shifting, tighten the shift linkage, adjust the gas pedal and some other minor tweaking. Can anyone help?

I cannot answer your questions, but I can tell you a few relevant things.

First, your truck is kind of "new" by the standards in the VCCA, but that's OK. They all started out new, and we all struggle to make them that way again! I'm just saying there may not be too much expertise on an '87 model immediately forthcoming.

Second, the VCCA has a very strong presence in the greater Seattle area, so no doubt there will at least be a few members who can give you some judgments about the various possible shops in your area.

Glad you joined. I worked for GM as a tech from 1984-1991. There are not a lot of things to "adjust" on throttle body fuel injection. You should be able to do most of this yourself. The only problem that I can remember is that the bushing would wear on the throttle body itself and cause a vacuum leak. And the idle air control valve needs to be cleaned regularly so it will maintain the idle correctly. Most of this truck is pretty straight forward and I am sure you already know that. I liked these because they were the old style but had the fuel injection engine in them. They also were bad about windnoise. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
