Greetings,
Can some kind person please tell me about the finish on the lug nuts for a 1929 AC Roadster? As far as I understand these were plated with chrome, but I'm not sure. And if they are plated, does anyone know of a source of plated nuts? Stanley has them new in steel, but plating in Europe will cost me about $180.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Zinc plated or cadmium if you believe the most common misconception.

I use chrome plated lug nuts on my '29 coach that I bought
off eBay. Cost me -$20-, that's less then a buck a lug nut.
Maybe not "authentic", but they work and are cheap and shinny.
They sure look good with a nice painted dust cover.
