Hey Bill - if these speeds come with the new version, then I'm happy. The Active X popups are
annoying, but so far hasn't kicked my off, or prevented me from moving around, like it used to.

Let me know if you find any more Active-X's. I've got my muzzle loader right beside me today. I'll fix 'em.... good!!!

As for the new software, I ALSO hope that the speed remains good... ha ha... but if I didn't think it was, then I wouldn't go to it. I've been told by others that it's very similar, if not a tad better... And.. the best part is it means that we won't have to delete any of our postings over the past five years!! yipp

And.. and... and... there's lots of things we'll be able to do now... but it will take time... once we're stable with VCCA Chat, I'm going to have to spend some time with VCCA.org. Now that I've been appointed as the "webmaster", I need to get our marketing image cranked up a notch.

Cool. :cool2: This is a good time of year to stay indoors... especially when you live in Seattle!!! togo

Bill, Don't put up the muzzle loader yet. The only place I am getting the active X now is 1912-1928 I guess you blew the others away.
Thanks
Cleon

Bill - the Active X pop-up occurs when I click on 1912-1928 and also on General Disscussions.

My pop-up looks something like this with a box around it:

________Click to run ActiveX on this webpage

____________________|OK|

When I click OK it goes away with apparently no other consequences, but pops up each time I visit the aforementioned sites.

Welcome to Chevy Chatter II! There is a lot of new and cool stuff here and you dudes are going to like it! For all of you non-guru computer dudes out there like me it is going to take awhile to find the cool stuff and to understand how to use this site totally. But, once you get there and understand how to use the site then it will be easy.

I am basically posting this as a test for Billy Boy Barker since he sent some of us the site in advance to try out. One of the problems I initially had was logging on to the site. It took a few times before CCII would accept my password but it finally did and I was able to get onto the site.

Thanks Billy Boy Barker for all of your hard work on the upgrade. There are a lot of things to see and do here!

wink dance yay

Bill,

The speed is much faster.

It does take some getting used to as things are there, but not where we were used to them being.

Anyway, great job!

Thanks for all of your efforts and commitment to get us upgraded and improved.

Who’s the boss? She was there and then you changed your avatar again.

Looks good to me and the speed is OK. Will take a little time to get used to it but going to have a lot of fun. Thanks Bill.

I'm still making changes... there's so much to do....

Decided to push ahead and I added the WHO'S ONLINE box to the right of the forums. I was going nuts not knowing how many people were logged in. This feature is much more accurate that the last program.

I'll post some more info in the forum below this one. It'll describe some of the missing features.
