OK Experts.........Is there a way to trace back owners on these old jalopies? I have tried several sites no luck.
auto My car was built in Kansas city Mi.
I think it would be interesting to trace back the history on one of these old babies...

Likewise - my '32 was sold by a dealership in Oneonta, NY, that no longer exists, and I was curious to find out at least about the dealer. Even a Google search came up empty.

If you can get someone to work with you at your local DMV (and depending upon how far back their records go) they can run a trace, either on your license plate or on your title, and give you the name of the previous owner or owners. Here in Oregon on my 1932, they were able to trace the car back to the last time the existing license plate was registered, which was in 1953, and they also gave me a photocopy of the 1953 registration slip. laugh laugh laugh laugh

I think you mean Kansas City, Missouri, not Michigan. My 31 was from St. Louis, Mo.

In Florida for a fee you can send in the "VIN" (or whatever number it was registered under) and get a complete history of all the owners from the state DMV office.
