How do I get on the roster.
Sound like you need just a member-beings everyone else is an officer.
Like it all thus far!

Summer is here and grandkids coming and going, 6 staying over tonight, so not too much time for the computer but really enjoying life. Following this thread each day and I agree with the nominations and Chat Chapter.

I also agree with nominations and name.
The nominated officers are probably the best based on the postings which is basically all I have to go by.

If any signatures are needed send the form via pm or email for members to print, sign and post via "snail mail" will probably be the quickest way for us non US members. I for 1 wont begrudge the postage and the secretary (writer) only has to type it once without the cost of paper and envelope and postage.

Sound great Ray, you're doing a great job and your judgement on when to do what is fine with me.

------------------------------------------

On another front: Anyone a good artist? How about designing our new chapter logo?

Maybe something like a "computer screen with a big Chevy bowtie displayed on the screen" as 1 suggestion for a logo.

Louis C.,

Your idea on the Chat Chapter's logo sounds cool!

How about a chapter motto?!?!....

"One for all... And all for one..
..especially the one with the Beer!"

Our nominated Pres. ought to like it.
Speaking of JYD, he sure is being pretty quiet
about all this. He must be out parts hunting...

:o Sorry I am late but I spent the weekend and yesterday attending events related with my XXth high school class reunion, and have not been on the computer. Count my vote for the slate of officer's as last presented and for Chat Chapter as the name. Stuart

How about "Our club is just a click away" for a motto?

Maybe we can work on this stuff (motto, logo) while Ray is doing the serious stuff.

This is getting to be fun.

OK, here we go...

27 guys have signed on as memebrs. 20 members are present so far. 13 have approved of the slate, or outright voted yes for the nominees to be elected. The 4 nominated persons have not made their vote known or have abstained from voting.

27 members signed up
-7 absent
20 present at this meeting
-4 abstained (nominees)
16 voting
13 said yes to the un-opposed slate.

I think it's safe to move that the nominations be closed for officers and naming the chapter.

The persons running un-opposed for office are;

"JYD" for President
"Chipper" for Asst. President
"Louis C." for Treasurer
"RGwiz" for Secretary

Futhermore, if no one has any objections, and, due to the lack of other nominees, I move that the nominated officers be elected by acclamation. And, that the name of this non-geographic chapter be called "Chat Chapter".

Do we have any objection or can we have a second to my move?

Add my congratulations to the new office bearers.
I also agree with the name "Chat Chapter".
The motto sounds good and appropriate, I also await Kepi's sons logo sketch.

Ray you have done a very good job setting up our new chapter. I vote yes for the above slate of officers and the chapter name. Let us know your progress and what we can do to help. JIM

tony,

thanks for the confidence about the logo, but you've met kalani, he's only twelve...still, he says it'll be ready today...we'll see...

besides, tom "cartunman" and maybe others are working on designs, too..
