I have a large box of NOS Standard Motor Products points, condensers, etc. All are in the original boxes and have been stored over the years in a dry, cool environment. Most of them are applications to General Motors Products, mainly Chevrolet from the 40's-60's. In fact I have several NOS GM points and condensers. Is there a source for finding out the application of these parts. I hate to see them sit if someone needs them. Thanks for any help.

Finding a Standard catalog on ebay or swap meet is one source. You may be able to "Google" and find the numbers. Or try NAPA to see if they list the Standard numbers online or will let you use a book. Your local Mom & Pop autoparts store is another possibility. I have a catalog somewhere but have hidden it. If the gremlins show me where they put it I or others might be able to help.

On the new old stock condensers, if they date back to the 1940's thru the 1960's they should be tested because condensers do have a shelf life. Most of the new old stock condensers that I have found of that age, when tested, were either shorted or were leaking making them useless.

I have 2 Standard/Blue Streak ignition catalogs. One is for models 1974 and earlier. The other one goes thru 1989. If you would like to post a few numbers I will try to help.

Dandyd,
Sorry I'm late in getting back to you with the post of the Standard ignition parts. The numbers I have are: (Points) SE2050X, SE2251X, S4 416, S3 409X, S3 409; (Condenser) S3 117, S3 101X, S3 100X. Do you have any information on Delco D-204, D-110, or D-2008; Echlin points CS2211 or Condenser WI-211. Thanks for your help.

Jim,
My book makes no reference to no.'s SE2050X, SE2251X, however the numbers with the prefix no S3,S4 indicate these are industral and small engine parts. The S3 parts are for PHELON (REPCO) magnetos and are for small engines like Clinton, cushman, kohler etc. The S4 parts are for WICO magnetos and are used on engines like Gravely, Wisconsin, outboard motors, tractors etc. My cross reference does not list the Echlin point no.'s. Delco D-204 is listed for GM trucks 1957-1976, American Motors 1966-72,IHC 1957-1980 and other vehicles that used the Delco dist. D-110 is listed for 1941-48 Chevrolets, 1930 Buick,1933-34 Chrysler and other older applications using the Delco dist., D2008 indicates this is a starter drive but can not find the No.
