Merry Christmas to all and may the peace we seek find one and all. Let us all take time in the coming days to reflect and be thankful for our many blessings.
I agree with Kipper. I for one have not participated in the chats for some time. Intended or not some of the comments offered from time to time I think are out of line. I was particularly irritated recently with all the banter focused on the guy and his wife that had a dispute with a vendor. Whether he was right or wrong is not my point. The piling on was waaaaay too much. I intend to renew my membership because I believe this outfit has much to offer. I am thankful for the advice and answers to my questions. I find value in reading the answers to questions by others. I think we each have a responsibility to keep this forum alive and doing whatever we can to attract new members. In my opinion we can help this along by being slower on the keyboard and giving a modicum of forethought to whether our "offering" will be helpful or another step toward the otherwise inevitible outcome Kipper foresees.

I can attest that there are more comments posted than a single person can keep up with... and only a couple people really need to read them all -- myself and the moderators. So if you find a thread that's going nowhere, or has language that doesn't meet the test of worthiness, my advice is to SKIP IT. Just pass it by and go on to the next thread. If more people did that, AND DIDN'T REPLY, then more of the banal conversations would die a natural death. I'm a firm believer in "Freedom of Speech" as exhibited by my time and energy over the past 4 1/2 years in supporting this site. But I also recognize that if you give someone undeserved attention, then they take that as encouragement. So, again, my advice is, if a thread is without merit... just "Skip It". --- and now that I've decided to post a paragraph, I can give you a hint that there is work going on in the background to lay the ground work for a new Chat site that would support previous direction by the Board of Directors... Those of you who followed previous discussions, know what this means. I'm generally excited, because this has the potential of bringing a lot of new functionality to the club. Hopefully we'll have more information to pass on before the end of the year. Just checked in and saw there were at least 5 new members signed up for this site since yeaterday. I seems there is always 1,2,3 or more every day and we are now up to 4,842. Good job Bill and to everyone else that gives good sound advice about our chevys and the ones like me who ask for it.
