I have noticed on this site that you all take pride in the number of posts you've made. You get medals and ribbons and maybe even cetificates of merit? I'm wondering if you've ever thought of who gets "the last word in" the most? "The final say" You show the topic starter, how many replies and who posted last but who's the king of the "last word"? Could it be the JYD with over 8000 posts or is it some lesser known? Think of it "4000 posts-700 last word posts". You all know someone who has to get the last word in right !?But I guess "gettin in the last word" could become a contest and would be like the never ending "Best one liner you know" (or can make up)it just would go on and on and on...........of course around here it's my wife who always gets in the last word so it's no contest..really...fine... ok...whatever...

PAPA-K,

Sometimes the last word is spoken! I go on pretending hers was not the last word knowing full well it was.

Then sometimes the posting should be over; but the other poster is so slow it blows right over his head.

Later he realizes he has been had.

Its not about posts, its about fun.

and its not about being mean.

PAPA-K,

All I meant was some guys have no concept of humor or fun. Even if it hit them right between the eyes.

You know, the guys who say: "Was that a joke".

So now when I post a joke I say - (JOKE).

I think if we started keeping track of "the last words" this forum would turn into a spitting contest.

...if it hasn't turned into that already.

RGwiz, isn't that kind of what human nature leads to, king of The Hill, a horse race? I have noticed that on tours there is always a couple of members that think a tour is a race, get there firstus, and have the last word.

Next.....

Yeah Macky.
I agree most of us are competitive and that's a good thing. But how the heck does the first car to finish get the LAST WORD????
...and what does the last car get???? The first word????

ps. When ya ask a question, you never have the last word.

The person who asks a question often has the last word when he posts a thank you, but then again, there can always be a "You're welcome."

Or....as with most of us....saying "Thank You" or "You're Welcome" is just being polite and nothing else.

I always like to recieve a "thank you" or some acknowledgement when I give a reply. Not that I need the thanks but then I know the person saw the reply.I believe first timers often don't know how to find the reply if they look a few days later.

It seems like it's OK to say 'thanks.' Besides, as Gene says, that's a good way to let the guy know you 'saw' the answer or advice.

Sounds good to me..........

It seems to me hearing Please, Thank You & Your Welcome Makes us all feel good!

Especially when we hear our young Grandkids say it.
