Hello USA!

There is no metal glass rim(Backlight moulding) in
my coach 1931. My question is:Is there supposed to be a metal moulding like the one on the side
windows or should there be something else?

Bengt.

Hi Bengt
My 31 Coach had a wooden ring covered in mohair to match the upholstery that was nailed in place all around the inside diameter. No metal ring.

The 1930 and early 1931 models used a steam-bent wood bow covered in material for the rear window garnish moulding. Later in 1931, the metal rear window garnish moulding was used, and it was either painted or woodgrained depending upon the model. laugh laugh laugh laugh

I don't know about the metal garnish molding, but I have a new pre-bent oak trim piece if you need it. I bought it for a 30 4 door I was restoring a few years ago and never used it. I got it from Grady Cox.

What ever happened to Grady anyway. I had seen his ads in the G & D for years, bought a few things from him then gone??

Yes he did, He posted an add in G&D explaining why he wouldn't be doing business as usual, He blamed his incarceration as being related to viewing a web site!(NOT THIS ONE) Haven't heard anything since........

I heard that it was a fraudulent prosecution, I had no trouble believing that.

Pumpkinj, Actually it was a letter to the Editors.

Believe what you like, Texas courts usually give the defendant and the people a little justice......So much for this particular affair for me, I wasn't there in the courtroom.

I don't know about what happened. I always had good dealings with Grady.

Anyway thanks for the info.
