While looking thru another site I noticed it had a HUMOR forum.This was a serious site (motor oil)..... perhaps this would be a good addition for this site.I have learned that there are the guys that enjoy the humor-both providing and reading it.Not everyone can contribute to the techanical department but do enjoy adding the humor.
Any opinions??????????????????????????????????????

I'm sorry but I've degenerated a serious post again.
A humor section would just end up as a line of jokes, as above, no problem with that but it makes for automated humour, "Proffesional humour"?? Not the daily laugh & joke you have with friends.
KS has been killed off because I hate the idea that his posts would prevent other site users.
The problem is KS is me it's how I live my life, tomorrow I could be dead.
People should state what they feel & not bottle it up, but sarcasm is the lowest form of wit & should be avoided.

This really brings us full circle back to moderators. Humour & wit are part of daily life put it in it's own box & all we get is a list of profesional jokes. Let's look at MM's picture as a serious post Example:- Hi Guys would this originally have been supplied with a "U" in humor? ..Signed Wackey Mackey Reply 1 Only if it had a "B" prefix in the chassis number. .. signed clever person Reply 2 Hey wacky you look good in pink! .. signed idiot Reply 3 The "U" was yellow till '64 then from prefix "C" it was green. .. signed clever person 2 reply 4 He looks good in pink? Wait till the other 6 & Snow White show up .. signed idiot 2 reply 5 Ain't that Snow White holding Dopey's hand? .. signed idiot 3 reply 6 Boo Hoo..Sob! Sob! After all these years my fantasy girl was a fella  .. signed idiot 4 Mr Mack now has his information & there's been a bit of jesting as well. If there was no serious reply with no information & the replies continued with the snow white theme then the moderator should step in & slap a few wrists. You, need moderate moderators though as Bill, Dan, Ray & Chipper are. The post doesn't want to get out of hand but also it doesn't want axing at the first sign of the "H" word. (and stuff the spelling)

I have changed my priorities from SEX to Ice Cream some where along the way this year! Well we are off to tour the Jenks-Tulsa Oklahoma area this weekend. I hope no one mistakes all of us for a group of Evacuees from a storm and trys to give us a box of MREs and a Debit card!

MM Give it a second thought. The MRE's arem't that bad for road food and a debit card will put $2,000.00 extra dollars in your pocket. Just don't go to the Convention Center.

In fact while we were traveling through Kansas and Oklahoma on the way to the Jenks Area 6 Joint Tour nearly everyone thought we were evacuees. Some apologized that they did not have anything to contribute; others offered satellite photos of the storm, visits to their homes and other help. We were definitely heartened by the generosity of American citizens. It sure speaks well for the ethnic mixture of the USA. "God Bless the USA."

Thanks for the "perfect post" reminding us of the way good posts have a tendency to spiral downward into stupidity. I no longer contribute informational posts here because of this very example (and hundreds of others). It's a shame that "idiots # 1, 2, 3 and 4" have taken control of Chatter, but it is a fact. My interest in Chevrolets and the hobby in general has dwindled considerably as a result.

As long as the original question is answered soon after the query, I don't see any harm in antics downstream. It is seldom necessary to wade through the "funnin'" to get needed information on this site. The best help I've received has come from some of the same folks who most enjoy the banter.

Although I did not see the post that was erased. Forget it. We all like to foul around a little. That doesn't mean less respect to the guy who gives advice. This is a great hobby and the people are intelligent,creative and resourceful. It takes a creative mind to figure out how to keep some of these buggies runnin. Don't be offended if those same creative minds stray into a laugh now and then. We need all the knowledge we can get. Talk to and with us.

The thread started out with a suggestion on how to deal with "humor." What the heck would anybody think was going to happen......
The "general discussion" threads seem to lean toward more "humor" than the year-by-year and for sale/wanted and tech categories.
Presumably "we" all have preferences. No doubt some Chevy Chatter categories are of more interest and other categories are of less interest. It seems easy enough for anybody to only "look at" the categories they're interested in.

I've been turned off by some of the self indulgence of late.
I feel some of these pages have degenerated to "blogs" rather than club members sharing some good hearted laughable discussions!
I thought this forum was for ALL to enjoy...
