I can fit lpg to most cars here for between $2400 to $3000. I have had nothing to do with bio diesel so wont make any rash statements in that regard.

the price of petrol is pretty relative...in australia it is now $1.40 per litre (i think there is 4.5 litres to the gallon which makes a gallon of petrol $6.40 per gallon)for low grade regular unleaded, about 10 cents per litre more for high performance or premium unleaded....we are all hurting about the price of petrol but we know it will keep going up...thats life!

I personally use around $80 aus per week in petrol which is around $100 us....(aussie dollar currently around 75 cents us)

STYLER, I like the idea of having "pretty relatives", Lord knows I could use some that were a little more pretty! Also lower gas prices would be a good ide, anyone have a good way to lower the prices? as to the rate of exchange, I always get messed up figureing it.

You got the currency exchange A for T $100 aus gets $75 us and 4 litre is about 1 us gallon. But the basics of your post is correct, $1.39 a litre here in Goulburn today.

Here in Southern Ontario we presently pay $1.29 per liter of regular and $100 Canadian gets you about $85. Merican. Our oil is piped from Alberta in western Canada and is refined in Sarnia, Ontario. Go figure. An imperial gallon is about four and one half liters and a US gallon is about four liters.

I want to add that Canada is a net exporter of petroleum products, so I am actually fairly happy with the high oil returns, but the present price of gas at the pump can no way be justified.

I drive a diesel VW jetta everyday and in the past my monthly fuel bill was $30.00 and now it is $40.00.

There's something really phoney about these gas prices and the gouging that's going on.

Just heard a 'news' story that Oregon has gone from # 3 MOST expensive gas a few weeks ago to now being # 3 LEAST expensive gas in the US of A.

That's like going from # 3 to # 47 in just a few weeks. In other words after Katrina (I guess).

What's with that????

I guess I should just 'enjoy' it......

Most regular I see in the PDX area is $2.70 - $2.75.

Bill.
