That is a really good story, I wonder how many of those old wrecker men are out there? I know of one, Buryl Wright of Alton Missouri, also a VCCA member. Buryl is almost 85 and still can rig up a 35 year old Chevy wrecker, to haul in an old six cylinder Chevrolet car or truck to restore.

That's the kind of thing I think of when I think of "America - the land of the free and home of the brave." But, just like the new-comers at the Portland airport area (from an earlier post of mine), the new-comers in Madison County call this guys business a 'cancer' and so on. Some folks have complained about "the growing cancer on U.S. Highway 25-70," but Linda and Charles contend that without the junkyard, Madison County would be littered with junk cars. My advice is ship those belly-aching jerks back to wherever it is that they came from. Bill.

They just don't make'm like that any more. Thanks to folks like him we could find parts for our cars. Back in the 60's I made several trips to two junk yards for '31 parts.
