I am trying to restore a tractor conversion kit, manufactored by Sears that took a 29, 30, 31 chev car and made it into a farm tractor. Now I know this is a tough way to treat a chevy, but I am missing a few parts of the conversion unit and wondered if any of you had any such beasts that you would be willing to part with?

Looking forward to seeing your handywork, you will have a one of a kind at the car shows. Cool... Exactly which class would you be in???
You might want to enlarge the article and post it next to your car/tractor (caractor?), so you won't have to explain it to people about 1000 times.

Not having to explain it.....well that takes all the fun out of it. Actually it can't be any different than trying to teach high school kids how to do something....like hammer a nail, or pull a nail out the right way.....

this one gets you the picture and my school web page. Lucky all of you!! This is a conversion kit for a 29 car made in 36 or 37. The frame is actually a 28, but the 28 engine went through a fire. Cowl is yet to be added. Gas tank will sit right next to me on passenger side. Unit was made by peru Plow Works and sold through sears and M Wards. web page

This is the frame of the Sears made conversion attached to the 1928(?) frame. The gas tank bracket was cut off, destroying the frame to be used as a vehicle. Some conversion kits touted that a car could be made back into a car "in 30 minutes to drive to town", although they said it took longer. The big wheels are off to the side and out of the picture. As soon as they are on, I will send another picture and it will give a better perspective of this conversion unit. Thanks for all the assistance in getting this picture on.
