Hi again fellows! I'm starting my request for photos a little sooner this year for our 2006 VCCA calendar. I will be emailing all the regions about this also. Anyway, this coming year I really want to make this a nice calendar that we can all be proud of. With that objective in mind, I'm planning on buying calendar making software to make the overall look better with the holidays etc. labeled correctly - also to avoid mistakes like two July 26ths! If you have or know of any events you would like added to the calendar please notify me.
To have your car considered for the 2006 calendar please include with your photos: 1. Year and model of the vehicle 2. Your name and vcca # 3. Where your live (city & state) 4. Any events (date, time & location etc.)
A suggestion would be say three nice photos of the vehicle so I could try a "three view" format. The three photos could be a front view, side, and rear or the engine, interior etc. Whatever you think would really show off the car. The crisper the images the better so please only submit digital photos with fine resolution.
I want to get this together early so I can get it out for high volume printing with the objective of getting the cost down to $2 or less per copy. I will do this project with no intention of profiting from it, but I just ask if you want to buy a copy please follow through and pay for it.
Please submit your photos to me no later than October 1st at jak1932@yahoo.com. Thanks guys!

Hi guys! I did submit an article for the G&D last September but it was not published, and I did advertise the calendars on this site last year. The good news is this little idea that started right here has really taken off. The first year twenty five were requested and last year almost 100 were spoken for. This year I think it will be even better since the project has gained club momentum (see August G&D National Board Minutes Article XLII Publicity Committee Report). With all of that being said, I need to get this project off the ground much sooner this year so we (everybody in the club) can get this calendar out for fund raising etc. That is another reason why I need more pictures sooner. I need to get this to a high volume printer shop as soon as possible. Then I can get calendars to all of the regions (and individuals) that want them. Finally, if we go high volume, as I mentioned, the cost goes way down - I'm thinking under $2/copy but I don't know yet. By the way, any thoughts on a low cost high volume print shop would be great!
I've already received some very nice shots - thanks to all of you that have submitted them, but I still need more photos. Please keep them coming and I hope you all will mention this in your upcoming regional meetings.
Thanks again guys!

jimk Sent you some shots of my '41 Coupe on e-mail. Your biggest job will be which to put on the calendar. I hope you get enough response that it will be hard to decide. Keep us posted on progress. Good Luck JIM

You guys must understand that the first two issues of the calanders are now glassed as highly collectable and of cousre the price is set accordingly now that there has been a demand established.

Jim K,
Regarding printer suggestions for the calendar, I'd suggest you give Dennis and Jean Fink a shot at it. At least request a "bid."
I don't know the name of their 'shop' but you could certainly find out how to contact them by looking in a G and D. (I presume you're aware they print the G and D.)
Bill.
