Hello all you 30s guys!! Got some questions on this little black box lube reminder thing? What years are they for? Did the dealers put these things on? Where did they go in the car? I saw on bill barkers web site they have a bracket, and a key also. Is it possible to get the brackets, and a key for it? Thanks for any help in advance!!! Oh yea, Im a card carrying, dues paying member of the vcca laugh wink chevy

The Chevrolet Lubrometer was first introduced in 1931-32 as part of the Dealer Service Campaign for the $5 and $10 Service Agreements. The Lubrometers were supplied free with the sale of Service Agreements. Lubrometers were also furnished for other GM brands, like Oldsmobile, as well.

The Lubrometers came with the mounting bracket for under the instrument panel, but the keys for setting the Lubrometers were retained by the Chevrolet dealer. :cool2: laugh laugh laugh

I have found that I can set mine by using the valve core removal end of a tire valve cap.

So they were only used in 31 and 32 only?

No! They were used in other years as well, but I have no information on when the Lubrometer was finally discontinued. :( :( :( :(
