Ok, but in the restoration process you takem' off puttem' on takem' off paint em'puttem back on, no wonder it cost so much! In a mod job all you have to do is takem' off and throw them on the junk pile!

Hi Everyone,

I am Bruces's (32 Confederate) Co-Chair for the Techonolgy Committee. There are still alot of technicalities that need to be worked out before we can actulley start to have a real time updating photo album. Believe it or not there is alot of effort that has to go into maintaining the infrastrcuture of what and where we want to go with everything. Although I would love for this to immidiatley happen, it cannot happen right away. As well, our work schedules and the hobby at this time of year really restrict the amount of work we can can put it this. Once the weather gets a little bit colder and we can get beyond the "behind the scenes" work, we hope to have the photo album up and running.

Sounds good JR. Thanks for the 'update.'

We'll all be happy to see lots of pictures of each others cars. Apparently after it gets 'colder.'

RGwiz, fenders. Maybe that B.H. paint is wrong???? but I surely have seen a lot of old Chevy engines painted that color, nice.

Ha ha! Join the club! Those of us that know Macky Wacky still have the same problem....trying to figure out what he is talking about most of the time. And....we have known him for years too! But, what would we do without good old Macky Wacky around to keep us all guessing? ha ha! wink laugh laugh laugh

If you guys see anything out of wack (not Mr. Mack) let me know about it.

I still have left to do:

1. Repaint the right door, rumble lid and rear fenders.

2. Install interior kit.

3. Correct a lot of minor details.

4. Stay off the computer long enough to do all this stuff!

Who is on second? and whom I don't understand is on first? ...Ok, I get that, but who is on third????
I reckon, maybe, I understand better than I am understood? or words to that effect.

Response from Mr. Bill:

laugh I'm reading and listening. Today, I'm in Southern California meeting with other club folks discussing future changes (improvements) to the system. No sense waiting until winter... we need to get some of these changes started now. I'm giving up part of my summer time to push for some of these changes, like online photo albums.

More status in a month or so. chevy

Hi Folks,

I was able to get a direct answer as for the initial questoin that this thread started out as. We cannot legally allow any advertising to be done on any aspect of our website in the same way that other sites allow. This would seriously jeopordize our not-for-profit status. Although it is a good suggestion we cannot feasibly do it.

VTjohn:

Interesting 'answer' to the idea of advertising, pop-ups, whatever. It doesn't sound like any of 'us' were actually looking forward to having any 'ads.'

I guess the income would be 'nice' to help defray expenses but the 'cost' of the aggravation would be pretty high!!!

mad mad   mad mad
