Check me in at 6/30 in the swamps of Texas Gulf coast. Haven't had a chance to read it yet though.

ME?!?

Check IMFALCO's date..... the 27th ?!? (Posted today, July 2nd!!!)

Frankly, I thought I had already stated my delivery date someplace else. Before you even started this thread. Looked and looked; but couldn't find it.

Anyway, I needed a chance to post my woodie "joke."

I was sorta poking fun at somebody..... you or Imfalco.

Your recvd date was 6/30 and his was 6/27. I just thought if both you guys were in the "Seattle area" it seemed odd that you got your G & D's 3-4 days apart.

Yeah, either JYD - or how about Gator?? Isn't he one of the guys that usually says his G & D arrives around the 15th or some such 'late' date????

Naw, the JYD wouldn't believe an arrival date of the 20th. That's just way too early.

Kepi Doodle is the one that gets his G&D late! He usually gets his about three weeks after the old mutt and others up here in Oregon get theirs. Because of his mailman, I guess Kepi is lucky that he even gets his G&D at all!

I got mine yesterday and have it read cover to cover!

Kepi must leave his in the post office so the mail men can read it, That is so kind of him, don't you think?

I am not really into woodies, had to wash and lube a couple of them every Saturday, back when I was a teenager working in a Sinclair station.

What didn't you like about 'washing and lubing' them??

What year(s) were they??

Got my new G&D Saturday...earliest I have ever gotten it. I think they must take bundles of G&D's to the PO on different days.

By the way since I read the article in the G&D on not removing the mailing cover in order to "keep it original" made me decide to keep my G&D's 'ALL original' so I am not taking them out of their plastic cover either...LOL

Gator, what you are is a MESS! just don't write me a letter and seal it in plastic before you put the $10.00 bill inside!

All that wood made them hard to chamios down and took all morning to do. they were around 47 or 48. one was a Chrysler and the other was a Pontiac. I thought they were ugly '30

I made $6.00 for 12 hours work, pretty good money.

Wringing out a chamois for 50 cents an hour??

That definitely sounds like pretty good money for those days!!
