why??!!? cut down in the prime of its life :(

Rangers have also located several 1920s era automobiles and a flatware and china dump associated with an early park concessionaire. Perhaps the most interesting of these is the Warren Car site, a 1927 Chevy, recently discovered by the park dive team after an exhaustive search. It rests well-preserved 170 feet deep. Human remains were recovered to complete a seventy-year-old accident investigation before the site was examined for archeological purposes. It is now being well utilized by the park to help educate visitors and the local community to the historical and archeological relevance of underwater sites.

Even if they brought that chev out of the water it would hardly be of any use. Once out it would rust away in no time.

Yes, but then it could be sold first on EBay for at least $12,000. Here, I'll even write up the opening copy: "Hot rod or ????? -- Ocean fresh -- all original -- great history -- buy it now before I decide to junk it!!!!!"

Go for it. The car definetly has some history to it. I know someone that pulled 30s F__D out of a local lake in the past 10 years rebuilt the engine and tranny replaced the wood and uses it yet on his farm. Its not much to look at but quite interesting

It looks like at least half of the car is under the silt, so the part you see may be all there is!

Don't forget there are the remains of 2 people in/around the car :( ...so I would think the state will make it a historic site ('hands off'). :cool2:

I hope the state does do this. :)

If they don't some ebay sellers would sell their bones... curse
