I don't know what the big deal is the guy has a ton of applications listed, so he really does not know what it is for either. I am sure someone will want it. John

The big deal is that this eBay seller (like many others) has an item listed for applications that don't exist...and this is done either on purpose to sell the item or as a total lack of education on his part. Novices to this hobby who don't have a clue as to what is right or wrong, sometimes take these listings as gospel and buy the items that are listed for their cars. Then, down the road, it takes a lot of persuading to convince them that the part that they installed on their car is not correct and that it never existed in the first place. For example, ask Raymondo and others about the stupid (rare) 1933 Chevrolet (dealer promotional) key chains that have been on eBay from time to time that were (according to the sellers) supposedly real and given out back in 1933. Lots of dudes believed it and some of these phony key chains sold for big bucks......even though these things were made in China and sold at K-Mart and Fred Meyer back in the 1970's and 1980's for $1.98!

"Pecking order" was a research project done by a gentleman who worked later in life at the University of Florida and who died in '55 in Gainesville, Fl., how's that for learning something new on Chatter??? P.S. 'pecking order' referred to HENS only, no roosters!!! There are some 'curb feelers' on ebay right now for the ones in Chatter land that need them...LOL Re: Pecking order PECKING ORDER - Pecking order refers to how chickens establish dominance. Chickens can be quite vicious. If a chicken has a small wound with a spot of blood, it must be removed from the flock. Otherwise, it is in grave danger of being pecked to death by the others. From the "Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins" by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 1997): "The famous study made by biologists W.C. Allee in the 1920s establishes that the pecking order among hens has a definite prestige pattern, hens, like many humans, freely peck at other hens below their rank and submit to pecking from those above them. Hens rarely peck at roosters in the barnyard, where the rooster is the cock of the walk, but it was widely believed in the 17th century that they often pulled feathers from roosters below them in the pecking order." Allee, Warder Clyde (United States 1885-1955) animal ecology W. C. Allee ranks among the leading twentieth century ecologists, especially for his work in behavioral and animal ecology. Breaking away from the early twentieth century emphasis in ecology on succession studies, Allee and his many students explored the role of the physical environment in influencing distribution patterns in animals; meanwhile, he became increasingly interested in how behavioral patterns influence social aggregation characteristics. Among his conclusions was the notion that social cooperation tended to outweigh competition in higher animals. He also became interested in the characteristics of social hierarchies and attempted to apply his ideas to human social organization. Allee's approach to ecology contrasted with that adopted by the followers of Elton and Hutchinson, who dwelled more on the organizing effects of trophic relations, competition, and limiting factors. pecking order hell, I never even consider myself to be close to those guys, I only have bought 30 items off of ebay and I tried to sell one an didn't even get one bid! All I know how to do is if it bolts together, starts, and runs down the road at a nice clip, don't leak in the carwash or a rainstorm, don't shake or rattle too badly, stops on a dime and gives you back change and it has a bowtie scratched, cast or stamped on it somewhere, I clean it up and drive it.
