Looking at my manual I see some points of lubrication call for grease and some for oil. Many references to the use of oil I would have thought would be grease, such as tie rods, steering knuckles, etc. but call for 160 w oil. Have not crawled under car (it is near zero here)yet to see what the lube points look like. Also, does anyone ever follow the manual in draining the tranny and rear end at 2,000 mile intervals? Guessing we will drive this car about 1500 miles per year. All help for this new to early Chevys person appreciated. Thanks.

bees,

welcome...

I'd like to recommend one way to speed yourself along on the learning curve, which is to use the search function at the top of the page...

click on it and you can narrow your search to certain forums, if you like, or search them all...

either way, you're bound to find many of the answers you seek...

good luck,
