The 1947-48 Correct Guide 4 5/8" lens -light was all chrome.Brackets were silver.

The only lights that had a light gray painted shell were for 1942.They also were retangular-body shell ,rim, and lens.

The number stamped on my lights is 2025-A
I had mentioned the gray color because the mounting piece at the bottom of the light is gray in color maybe the prior owner painted the brackets the same color as the car(dove gray)?chef- chevy

The 2025A light is a 1949-52 lamp.Notice that it also says 5" on the tag.The 1947-48 lamps are 4 3/4" and I don't know the number at this time.I have a new pair of lights here some place and can't find them. Will keeplooking.
