Hi chevy folks,,,,

I have a new question. I will be putting my 31 Chevrolet coup back together this spring and I will be needing some new tires for those 19"rims. I saw some larger tires which I would like to put on the 31 but need to know if they will work,
I have more clearance on the fender braces since I just made some a few months back I guess the real question is will it fit the rim?

They are......550-600 x 19" tires
overall height...31.25"
tread width......4.25"
rated lbs........1250
What do-ya think!!!!

They will fit the rim but will not fit the tire covers or fender wells.

Not fitting a fender well is not problem its a three window coup with the spare on the back tank cover. As far as tire cover itself I have no plans for that either.
Chevychip/others. I feel the extra size would improve the ride and also top end. I am new at this but I think the bigger the tire the better the look. I surely not the first to try this, tell me what you guys think..value your opinions!!

I would stay with the correct size tires. If the bigger tires made that much of a difference, everyone would be using them. Besides, if you go to the larger tires your speedometer won't read accurately either.
