To avoid any confusion here, there were actually two Chevrolet accessory trunks used in 1932...the Extension Luggage Carrier, manufactured by Watts-Morehouse Mfg. Corp., and the "coupe" trunk,(better known as the Potter Trunk) manufactured by Potter. The Extension Luggage Carrier was used on all of the sedan models and the phaeton. The "Potter" trunk was used on all of the coupe, cabriolet, roadster and Landau Phaeton models. The two trunks should not be confused with each other since they are both entirely different. While the "Potter" coupe trunk could be used on the sedan models if the customer requested, the Extension trunk was made to be used exclusively on the sedan and phaeton models.
Also, special luggage could be ordered from your Chevrolet dealer from Watts-Morehouse to fit the accessory Extension Luggage Carrier. The luggage was available in three different combinations to fit the Extension Luggage carrier, and two special weatherproof protectors could be ordered to cover the Extenison Luggage Carrier as well. :cool2:
