Don't know if this will help, But on a 96 to reset the oil light, Just turn on the key (do not start the engine) and slowly depress the accelerator three times.

It is the same for the newer models too. It should be the same for the 2003.

Key off/ hold reset down odo/trip/key on/ sweepTPS/ three times within five seconds. That is in the owners manual. chevy
