I have a 1948 Thriftmaster and need to know the correct valve cover paint to use. Thanks

The valve cover would be painted with the same paint used on the engine, the dark blue gray color.Available from Chevs of the '40's and the Filling Station.
I am not sure but the 1948 216 may have had Thrift Master stenciled on the right side of the valve cover in cream or yellow paint.
