Don, the Alemite fittings did have dust covers and the company is still in business and they still carry the fittings and the covers. Also they sell an adapter to convert your standard grease gun to fit the Alemite fittings. www.alemite.com

JYD, you are correct the covers were not standard equip but an after market item. I thought I put that in the orig post guess I lost my train of thought or I just type faster than I think now a days. The fittings offered by alemite now are the same as the orig they are nickle plated and look great.

Ya, I knew that Alemite still had the dust covers because the Model A Ford dealers have them listed in their catalogs.

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION 29 CHEVY AND JYD. I HAVE THE DUST COVERS ON ALL OF MY ALEMITE GREASE FITTINGS. I THINK THEY LOOK GREAT ON. NOW IF I HAVE THE CAR JUDGED AT A MEET,I WILL HAVE TO PROBABLY TAKE THEM OFF.AS OF YET I HAVE NOT HAD MY CAR JUDGED AND I MAY NOT FROM SOME OF THE MANY THINGS I HEAR ABOUT JUDGING.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY, IF THEY JUDGE MY CAR FOR THE CONDITION AND THE RIGHT CHEVY THINGS AND EVERYTHING WORKING RIGHT, WHAT DOES IT HURT IF YOU HAVE SOME AFTERMARKET THINGS ON THE CAR. THOSE THINGS SHOULD NOT BOTHER THE JUDGING OF THE CAR. JUST MY OPINION, THANKS DON

I'm taking more notes Don, I'm going to have fun Judging your car this summer! :p Also I might add, the straight Alemite fittings that you buy now are not the same as the ones that were use in 32! The new ones that you buy now have a hex head on them.
