Hi, I need the mounting location and the size of the speaker for a 1954-55 GMC. Does it mount above the windshield like the 1955-59 Chevrolet radio? Thanks for any help.

Is it a 1954 with 6 volts or new style 1955 with 12 volts???

S/B six volt positive ground, but don't know where speaker is located.

It is the 6-volt unit.

I would think someone in this forum would own a GMC or know someone who does that can answer my question. No help at all?

Ray, You have to go all the way thru the GMC Accessory catalog to the insideRV mirror to find a picture of the mounted radio speaker, I hope this old B&W is viewable. OOPs!
