Did Chevrolet ever make a 1958 Yeoman truck? I saw one yesterday in Cincinnati. It looked just like an El Camino or Ranchero, but a 1958 Chevrolet. It might have been a two-door station wagon that someone made into a pickup, but it didn't look homemade at all. It had the "Yeoman" chrome pieces on the side. Whatever it was, it looked really cool and I hope someone gets it before it is junked. It was sitting in a parking lot with three flats, one window out and 1990 plates on it.

In 1958 the Yeoman was the lowest priced Chevrolet station wagon. It was available in a 2 and 4 door version. My quess is that some one converted a wagon - and did a good job of it.

Back to "30ChevTruck's" first post. Seems like you were 'impressed' with this apparent Yeomanio. (Actually, I'd call it an El Yeoman Ino.) Anyway, maybe YOU should track down the owner and 'save it' YOURSELF. Didn't you say it looked 'cool' ?? Heck man, get going and find out what it'd take to put it in YOUR garage! Have fun.....

42bill misses the point. First, I wanted to find out if a Yeoman truck was even made. My garage is full, but I still hope someone saves the Yeoman. What's wrong with that? No one person can buy every forlorn old car or truck he sees. Without one person telling others about these things, most vehicles owned by collectors would have been destroyed years ago.

30 Chev Truck: YIKES, didn't mean to 'offend.' It just sounded like you 'liked' it and I was hoping it might work for you. Please - accept my apologies. Bill.

Gator: It was sitting in a parking lot behind the fire station in Norwood, Ohio, five miles from downtown Cincinnati. A fireman said the lot is used by tenants at an adjacent apartment house, and some spaces are rented out.

Thanks, sounds like the old note on the windshield method of contact (unless you can run the license plate number)...maybe there are some members in Cincinnati with interest...

30chevtruck said something in a previous post that has me very confused. "No one person can buy every forlorn old car or truck he sees". What kind of talk is that? Such reckless statements should be prohibited from this forum. What if my Wife should stumble across this sight and read this kind of outlandish propaganda. I will not risk 33 years of intense training and brainwashing because some upstart cannot keep a civil tongue in his head. SHAME ON YOU 30chevtruck. I'm deleting my bookmark to this site.

Good point, Mike. What else are backyards good for? Sure cuts down on the mowing!
