The 1949 1 to panel was not available with duals-yet the running board and fenders look stock.????
The only 1 tons available with dual were the cab and chassis and stake models - and they had the short running board and no rear fenders.Even the pick-up was available with single wheels only and no panel in the 1 1/2 tons....a very unique truck.

Hmmm, I thought this was pretty rare too. I had never heard of one before. Maybe its sitting on a different chassis, or someone put a dually rear axle in it and custom made some wheel wells.

It was probably "made up" many years ago. The rear axle looks like it is a little too far forward in the fender opening.

agree that rear axle appears to be located too far foreward. truck located a mile or so from my daughter's home. she's gonna go look at it soon. she's looking for an old chev to tow her airstreams. mike
