Quick question to the group...in terms of value or being more desireable, would a GMC Cameo pickup be more rare/desireable to own than a Chevrolet Cameo truck? Assume comparing same model year for each...I discoverd one sitting in a guy's backyard and was just curious, so I thought I would ask the group.

As per Old Cars Price Guide a #1 GMC is $24,500 and a Chevrolet is $25,000.(for what thats worth).

No offense to anyone but the price guides are based on the inaccurate and hyped-up auction scene. They may be better than nothing but just barely. Most have models listed that never existed.

I totally agree with the Chipper Dipper on this one! I have disliked the stupid price guides for years because they are inaccurate on some of the models listed, their prices are either way to high or way to low, and, in many cases, they are not realistic.....all due to inflated auction sales around the country.  :( :( :(

allstate bob, seems like cameos in the past few years have been going for about $15k in really good shape, albeit mostly hotrodded with crate motors & the like...correctly restored or low mileage, original or long-time owners are in the $20k range...like we said previously, suburban carriers are rarer, but not more valuable... hope you get a good one... epi
