While driving my '55 (2nd series) 3600 at night I went over some RR tracks and the headlights went out (they were on bright), I clicked over to dim and they worked fine. So right now I only have dims, whenever I try the brights, nothing just darkness.
Any ideas on how or what went wrong and how it can be fixed??? Everything "looks fine", but...

95% vote for a wire coming loose on the foot dimmer switch. You can access it from under the truck or remove the two screws that attach it to the toe board. 5% vote for loosing the high beam filament in the headlights.
