Are the front and rear shackles on a 1929 frame, the same as used on a 1931 frame?

Basically, the Tryon shackles used in 1930 and up are large and they are self-adjusting. Bushings were no longer used. They have hardened and ground tubular pins that have tapered ends that mate with the tapered holes in the shackle arms. The tubular pins are filled with lubricant to lubricate the shackle arms. laugh laugh laugh laugh

Yep.......there are lots and lots of things about Chevys that I don't know, and I learn new stuff about Chevys everyday from the knowledge of others and from researching various pieces of Chevrolet literature. I try to help with the information that I do have and with the literature that I have available to photocopy. However, there are a great many Chevy dudes out there as well that have a vast amount of Chevrolet knowledge and they are happy to share with others also. They are the folks that makes Chevy Chatter so great, and this hobby so enjoyable! :cool2: laugh laugh laugh

HAPPY NEW YEAR! drink drink drink
