Hi guys. I've posted a want ad for a '37 1/2 Ton Front Spring, Rear Hanger under "Parts Wanted", but need some interchange help... Does anyone know what range of years will fit my '37 1/2 ton? Is the same part used on cars and larger trucks also? It has either a part or casting number engraved in it: 593937. ![[Linked Image from home.sprynet.com]](http://home.sprynet.com/~lenn/Front_Spring_Mount_T.jpg)

Thanks dandyd, I need to get a parts book... I'll order one tonight. Also, N J Horst has a fitting for me, so my friends are taking good care of me!

Grumpy, sounds good, Old N.J (he may not be old) must have quite a lot of stuff stashed out there in the Wild West, Maybe I need to go for a visit! I bought an original 1928 -1954 Chevrolet Master Parts Catalog here from the want adds and it is a jewel! You go on over to the garage, I will work some more on my Income Tax report (Yuck) want to change chores?

pt.# 593937 update: I checked my 1958 parts book today and it listed the part as follows: 1937 to 1954 and 1955 first series.

Mr Mack: I think NJ has or knows of a barn full of stuff, and I know he has a heart of gold! I might get to see him this summer I can see where the cast iron has been pushed around by the bolt head (you can slightly see the ring around the bolt head area in the photo), and by the spring in the clevis area. Usually cast iron is brittle, but this stuff looks pretty tough, maybe I'll look into the metallurgy some day.

Already got my taxes done and both refunds back! Under "dependents" on the tax forms, I listed all of my Chevrolets and that got me a ton of money back! Did the mutt do good or what???

Heck, I don't need to worry about that since they don't put dogs in jail anyway..........they send mutts to the dog pound instead! Besides, I just found out that dogs don't have to file that stupid income tax thingy anyway!
