Yep , Mr Mack , the big Inters were really impressive ,, the owners had driven them from Rotorua , nearly 700 kms away ! all that plus an expensive ferry crossing ,, good keen men !
The Chevy 4 was lovely , I used to have a '28 tourer , great motoring car , sold it to get the '39 truck though ,, good choice , as I did 60,000, trouble free, miles in the truck , that lead me to getting the '40 later on , and to date I have done 35,000 miles in that .
Dunno about the wee Austins , I think the A40 is a 10 cwt vehicle ,, the A30 will really only fit yer suitcase in it , LOL . But very economical with it . laugh
Hmmm ,, been thinkin' about that ,, 10 cwt is a half ton , and we always called our half tonners 15 cwt trucks ,, then put 20 cwt on them , LOL ,, I guess the A40 is a 7 cwt vehicle . laugh

What a great variety of vehicles. Many of the US trucks would seldom be seen in this country. The one that fascinates me the most is the Holden.I see a bit of 55-57 Chev. features around the edges. We never see any pictures of Australian cars in this country.Years ago I had a "pen pal" that would send me dealer catalogs. Is there a automotive magazine that I could subscribe to that would feature the common new Austrailan cars?

I guess the "Wheels" mag would be an excellent option ,

www.magshop.com.au to subscribe.

Is a monthly , 145page , glossy , full color etc ,etc . $A 7.50

www.holden.com will have some good info on the new Monaro , to be released in the US as the Pontiac GTO I think .

Certainly good pics from the land of long white cloud.
I would post some Aus pics but scanner is broke. There should be others from down under with working scanners though or maybe digital camera.

1938 1/2 ton Hope to drive it before I retire
