HELP!!!!! How do I tell if a truck is a 1946 or 45 or 44 or 43 or 42 or 41. They all look the same to me!!!

I am checking out an old truck which I believe ya'll call art deco is that right?? all I know is that the truck I am checking out is a '46 or older. I do not have any knowledge of how to tell the years, are there any distinct differences in the years from 1941 to 1946??

Any help would be aprreciated! Thanks!!!!

Here are a few items that are different on the 1941 Deco truck: The outside door lock is in the outside handle on the 41, the lock is below the handle in the door on the 42-46, the 41 has a rubber grommet around the fuel neck, the 42-46 has a metal ring and a leather seal around the fuel neck, the 41 had a one piece headliner the 42-46had a two piece headliner, the early 41 had smaller park light lens, the 42-46 had windlace around the door opening that matched the seats, the 41 had black rubber.

The serial number will identify when the truck was assembled. This includes military as well as civilian. If you post the number(s) we can decode it.
