I have a 64 C60 grain-dump bed. What is the proper color for the bow-tie in the front grill? The previous owner sprayed everthing white.

I'm no expert on anything pre-'67, but I think it's the same as Chevy Engine Orange. In '69 they went to a bright blue plastic bowtie. chevy

I would have thought that this was a simple problem with a simple solution. I must say I'm a little disappointed in the lack of response. I'm thinking that the bow-tie color is bright red. The truck that gave up it's fuel tank sending unit had a red bowtie in it's grill.

Hi Mouse2-
I thought it was red too, but just to make sure I checked a 1964 big truck sales brochure with the C60 pictured in it. Yup, it's red.
