I just got back from the Hershey show and thought I would share some of my pictures.
I was a little disappointed there were not more early thirties Chevy’s. I really wanted to see a 1932 2 & 4 door Sedan. Still have not seen a finished one in person. They did have a lot of cool, HIGH dollar, & rare rides. The swap meet was over whelming.

Scott,
Thanks for the picture show. For those of us that live in the sticks and far removed from the big shows the pictures are the next best thing to being there.

Great photos!!! They say if you can't find it at Hershey it probably doesn't exist!

Thanks for sharing the photos with us. Could only get half of them to load though.

Glad you enjoyed the pictures!
The add says:
For four days each October, Hershey, Pennsylvania is the Mecca for old car collectors and restorers. It's the oldest and largest old-car meet in the world. There are typically over 2000 vintage vehicles in competition divided into 90 judging classes, with close to 10,000 flea market spaces spread out over 50 miles of aisles. If you can't find it at Hershey, it doesn't exist!

I was there on Saturday and things were already being packed up. It’s definitely a four-day event if you want to see everything. My feet are still killing me.

Thanks - Great pictures. Anyone have any comments on some of the small details you can see?

Thanks for the great pictures. At least it wasn't raining as I remember it in the '70's. I want to get back there again someday!

A friend and I drove four hours down and spent seven hours going thru the flea market and four hours back home.
This was my second time and yes my feet were tired when we got in the car to come home.
We didn't get to see the cars, but I did get a picture of the Caddie "Woodie"

Small details, yes, I got to see what and how the heat control is setup under the hood of a '32. yipp

Should the 'instrutment insert' area be body color (yellow in the pic) for that year and model?

Research indicates that the Art Deco transfer around the instruments was used in mid-year. Prior to that, the area around the instruments was painted body color. laugh laugh laugh laugh

Maybe the JYD can clear this up. One car has the decal on the air cleaner facing foward. Another has it to the side. What is correct?
I figure it has something to do with where you place the collar ***** . So how is it placed?

The decal can be anywhere depending upon how the air cleaner is installed. However, normally the decal would be facing the left side of the hood so that it can be read easily when the left side of the hood is opened.

Also, check out the correct 1932 cowl lights on the cabriolet. Notice that they are chromed and not black.

I kinda figured the decal would be placed so it is easy to read.
So I did mine right...That is to the side. You have to be careful with the ***** collar. I just plopped mine on one time and the throttle hung up on it!

Are you talking about the clamp that holds the air cleaner to the carburetor air horn?

The only cable that comes near the air cleaner is the choke cable that is attached to the bracket on the air horn. Do you have your throttle cable routed correctly?

Who would that be? Is it the guy in the red coat and brown hat near the 32’s? My wife talked to him for a minute about the VCCA. He said we should go to the VCCA Nationals if we really want to see 32’s.

Yes the choke, not the throttle. Sorry. Actually it was the back of the choke arm that got caught up on the end of the air cleaner bolt. At that time I didn't have a decal. So that's a good point to align the air cleaner before putting on your sticker. wink
Hey...maybe I got the wrong length bolt in there....?
