I need some help and hoping the wonderful guys on the VCCA chat room can help. I have a 1930 Coach which I am rebuilding the motor and trans, have put new rubber on, new radiator, and had JYD restore and recalibrate my speedometer. I even found a new speedo cable for it! I also have a 1919 Touring. She is mechanically sound, however needs a lot of TLC in the cosmetic department, presently sans upholstery even.My problem is this: since the '19 seems to need more attention, I've been spending more time with her alone in the garage. I have always tried to treat my girls equally and I thought I loved them the same, but I find myself seemingly fallin MORE in love with the '19. What can I do? I seem drawn to her... Maybe JYD can advise me as he has two daughters... I don't know what to do. If ya want to see their picture, check out our web site: www.socalvintagechevy.com and go to "members". We're the last picture. And VCCA, you're mylast hope of a peaceful family. Thank you. chevy

Kick them both out of the house and collect stamps instead! Ha ha! :eek: :eek:

If you love your '19 that much and it is your top priority, I would think about selling the 1930 and then devote the money from the sale, along with more time, to your 1919. You can't really work on them both at the same time anyway, and your '19 is a very cool car and it is more rare than your 1930 coach. Four cylinder cars are coming on strong right now, and if I had a choice between the two cars, I would stick with the 1919! Find a new home for the '30 coach and she will be happy and so will her new owner....or adopt a son and give it to him to work on! :cool2: laugh laugh laugh

Unlike the human version daughters, of which at times even one is way too many, you can't have too many old Chevys. Pansy and Zelda won't be jealous of your giving one or the other more attention. just cover the one that isn't going to be worked on next, and one day soon you will return to her with a willing attitude and your toolbox in hand.......

Hey Dave;
See what happens when ya collect too many females!
What I did was to find a place for the old love in another county. This way she'll never know what's going on with the new love.... luv2
Then when ya get enough busted knuckles from the new one, ya take out the old one...just for old time sake. dance

Hi David,
I saw the pictures of your cars, they are nice we both have a 1930 and a 1919 I enjoy both. If you can do it I would keep them both as it is nice to drive a closed car in the fall of the year on those cold days when you want to drive an old car, as it is to drive an open car the 1930 drives better and faster and has four wheel brakes and that is something to consider in our southern california traffic. Take care Larry :)

I have learned the hard way (although I have certainly enjoyed the education) that older, more experienced women are the way to go!
