Looks to be under powered to me!!! Sure made some inside modifications that do not show on the outside of the engine compartment. Must be a real trick to have more louvers show on the outside than on the inside. Guess the owner liked the sound of that engine but the superior suspension, brakes, etc. of the Chevy.

My favorite part of the whole thing is the seller's statement:

"This 1931 Chevy is in very good original condition. It has been completely restored."

HA! flush

I like the "roll-over" paint job.

Since almost everyone has a Chevy engine in non-Chevy bodies, this owner wanted to be the very, very odd man out. devil

Am I mistaken or do the bumpers look like 30-31 "A" bumpers?

Contacted the owner, he posted the wrong engine photo. :o  :( The bumper is correct for a 1930 not a '31. Note the hood it is the "early" style like in most '31 sales literature. For you purists count the louvers and then count them on the "later" hood. How many get the same number? How many get one or two fewer on "early" hood?

Anyone like the chameleon paint job? It is bluish gray on the dark side and a yellowish tan on the sunlit side. Kinda like that $ 1000+ per gallon R-M paint that F&%$ used on a few cars and trucks a few years back. There is a fellow that works at the local PO that has a 80s F&%$ pickumup truck with that paint on it. Goes from black to burgandy to green.

Yes, the bumpers are 1930, but late 1930 only. In early 1930 the configeration of the bumper face bars was the same, but they had black painted grooves instead. laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Hey 31chevy! You are almost there! Just three more postings on Chevy Chatter and you will be an official Junkyard Puppy! Or, if you can drink 32 ounces of beer in just 30 seconds, that would make you a Junkyard Puppy instantly! drink drink drink drink drink laugh laugh

Sure, Root Beer counts since we use that for backup. But, you would have to do 64 ounces of Root Beer in one minute to qualify.   laugh laugh
