I have a pair of headlights which are either off a 1929 or 1930 Chev, which year I'm not sure. The reflectors do not have the parking lamp globe in them. Can anybody tell me what year they actually fit? I need to use them for a short time on my 1929 Oldsmobile Landau Sedan, until I get the headlight rims re-chromed for the Old's.After that,I will probably sell them.
Best Regards, Kevin Smith

Hello Junkyard Dog, Thank's for your very prompt response.Much appreciated!I will be going to another chat line member's place to-night(AEST),and if we can get some decent digital photo's,we'll try and send them. In the meantime,I will try to give as good a description as possible. At the rear of the headlight body it has the following stamped in the body: "TWILITE HEADLAMP" This is stamped in a circle at the rear of the body, above the connection socket hole. On the mounting bracket at the base of the body it has the following stamped into the bracket:The Chev "Bowtie" on one side, and on the other side,in pretty small writing: "GUIDE LAMP CORP MADE IN USA",with the word "GUIDE" in a fancy script in the centre of the other words. The lenses on both headlight's are both after market "GENERAL MOTOR'S HOLDEN",with "Chevrolet" and the round "GMH" symbol on the front of the lense. A friend of mine who has a 1929 sedan, had a look at them and said that they are exactly the same as his, except for the fact that they don't have the parking light in them. Best Regards, Kevin. :)

Hello Junkyard Dog, Thank's for your reply. The headlight bodies are meant to be painted black(I've got them in primer at the moment)and the rims are chrome plated. It appears that from what you said about Sport's Coupes,Sport's Roadsters etc.having cowl lights they therefore didn't need the parking light in the headlight. It would seem that I have a pair of either 1929 or 1930 headlights off a Sport's model car,as neither reflector has provision for the parking light globe. Thank's for help in identifying these lights for me.It is very much appreciated.Once I've finished with them on the Old's,I might put them on the for sale page,or try to swap for a radiator for the Old's. Very Best Regards, Kevin.
