Log on time on both my home (antiquated) and work (brandnew) computer is very slow but much better than nothing. Lots of hard work is evident here. talk talk

Posting is not the problem, changing from one forumm to another or logging onto the site is. I have broadband at home and the work network is as up to date as it gets. Still slow.

I have seen a dramatic increase in the time it takes to post a reply in a thread, as well as switching forums. Almost as bad as when I was on Dial-up at 28.8.

Please CONTINUE to post your logging times here. I've discussed this with the hosting company and they are having their "engineers" look at it on Monday 11/12. Let's see what kinds of times you all observe on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Thanks

Leo,
When you post something, go to the top and hit {VCCA} and you will be back in business.

All seems fine to me.....

Well, maybe not. It took 20 secs til 'thank you' came up. Then another 10 secs til the post actually appeared. Total = 30 seconds. That's not as bad as when we were having problems; but not as good as it was recently.

Called up 'edit.' It came up promtly. Then 8 seconds til 'you've edited' came up. And another 15 seconds til the post re-appeared. Total = 23 seconds to edit the post.

I talked with our HOSTING company yesterday and they agreed that our performance wasn't as good as it should be. (That's their words!)

They have "engineers" who will look at it asap. Except they only work Monday thru Friday.

I told them that I was already considering a new company if they couldn't get it improved.

A complication to all of this? See my posting about CHAT II in the next thread.
