....WELL!, I am glad I was cleared of any hi-jinks that may have caused some of the pore old chatters to have to get caught up on the Honney Dooos! maybe the gals will be happy.
I did find out there is some life after VCCACHAT.org goes off the ether-net!

Thanks Billy Boy BaRRker! and all that time and work was not a wash out, look at the education & experiance you got!......Now if we could just get our Charter approved,

Call your VCCA Director, those that don't have email, or who don't show their faces around here and ask for his approval vote, We will get the results of the BOD vote and can go from there!
( I wonder...will they vote before the BOD meeting next year?) chevy yipp dance

Thanks Bill, a Million!!!

What great job you & your team did!!!

For me there is little in life that is more enjoyable to experience than seeing people accept a task and complete it with professional demeanor and THE goal of assisting others.

Be it a hobby, occupation, family, education what have you, seeing and experiencing successful human potential makes me smile. :) :)

Even in the wake of a weak or failed process by others, Bill stepped in and did the job. No BS, finger pointing, blaming or any of the other 50 methods for passing the buck we all experience to much of these days. Simply a professional effort filled with energy, substance, ability, pride, effectiveness, accomplishment and IMPROVEMENT. {a key word}

Bill you are great. Thank you for stepping up and making this site, and this club member very proud to be associated with you and your team.

Continued success, and thanks for getting me back to where I learn so much about my car, the VCCA chevychat site.

My vote, Bill for President !!

FYI Bill, I don't know why it did a triple post...???? it wouldn't post and then it said "flood protection" and then it posted the same message 3 times...it may be because it is moving very slow.

Thanks Bill for getting this Chat Site back. I didn't realize how addicted I had become to it. All I can say is I've learned more about old Chevrolets from this site than any other source yet. Keep up the good work it's really appreciated.

TIME FIX NOW AVAILABLE

I solved the time issue. It was throwing me that different people were seeing different time offsets. Then it occured that they were using GMT as the server time. A Ha!!! That was it... the server uses GMT (or Zulu) and then each person's login calculates from a "local" time sync.

Soooo... to fix your postings... go to your profile and enter in an offset. It actually tells you what the discrepancy is. Most of you will have to enter a -5. READ THE PAGE.

I went to My Profile and my time was set to "0". I changed the offset to "5" and then made this posting. The time stamp on this posting is now 10 hours off instead of 5! I posted this at 17:46 and the time offset of the posting is 03.46 on November 1st! I'm going to change the time offset back to "0"....at least 5 hours off is better than 10. bigl

Looks like your time stamp is now off by 10 hours too.

Yep, you are right......I didn't see the minus sign. Changed my offset to "-5" and now the time stamp should be correct.

THis point up another issue that we have now with the new host. Every year when the time changes, the postings are going to be off by one hour. --- because the GMT setting on the servers doesn't change!!!

On our old host servers they were set on EST time and then my ONE offset worked for everyone! But now..... arghhh.. we'll have an ongoing problem.

I'll have to look into this on our new program and see if it's going to be a problem.
