The codes that you listed appear to be the body numbers that are listed on the Fisher Body cowl tags. However, they would have more meaning if you would have also listed the Job Number for each cowl tag as well. At any rate, here are what the codes mean that you did list:

1931 code 0-111 = Oakland factory, 111th of that particular body style made in the Oakland factory in 1931. (Need the Job Number to tell you what the body style is on this car and the cars listed below)

1931 code 0-8398 = Oakland factory, 8,398th of that particular body style made in the Oakland factory in 1931.

1933 code K-13 = Kansas City factory, 13th of that particular body style made in the Kansas City factory in 1933.

1934 code B-3639 = Buffalo, New York factory, 3,639th of that particular body style made in the Buffalo factory in 1934.

the 1934 is a 34551 = Coach
the 1933 is a 33607 = Standard Coupe
the 0-111 is a 31570 = Sedan Delivery
the 0-8398 is a 31551 = Coach

The only way to tell the production date is by the serial number plate. Or, if the above vehicles all have their original engines from the factory, the casting date on the engine block will help as well. laugh laugh laugh laugh

Actually the engine serial number is the better number than the casting date. There are lists of engine, transmission, rear end serial numbers by month. For some years there are also lists of vehicle serial numbers for each assembly plant by month.

Absolutely correct! However, 99% of the dudes in the hobby don't have that information, so the casting date would be a quick reference for them to use if they want to get the approx. month of manufacture of the vehicle. But.........using the casting date does go hand in hand with the block casting number and the engine serial number to determine if they have the correct engine in the first place. laugh laugh laugh laugh
