Due to many requests, here are a couple of photos of the world famous JYD 1932 Chevrolet coupe planter box. The photos were taken right after the deer dudes finished munching on the Iris plants. Note the vintage tire pump leaning against the passenger side cowl.

Yes, that is a real rumble lid that you see there, and standing up in the rumble area is one of the running boards. The really cool thingy at the back of the rumble lid is an very rare 1932 genuine Chevrolet accessory vise. You know.......to be used in case the rear axle bearings (both missing at present) have to be changed while on the road.

Steve Kassis, the owner of the world renown Filling Station keeps adding parts to the planter box on each one of his visits to the Junkyard Dog World Headquarters. If he makes enough visits, eventually we will have a complete car!

By the way, the street rod types keep trying to buy the planter box from the old mutt.....but he just keeps biting them in the butt! Bow Wow!!  laugh

Them Deer Dudes must be Model "T" fans.....You mean you meant to leave it like that? I figured that was just where some Oakie broke down, and took the spare parts for his "good car" Ha! and ARF! ARF!

And... I found one of those tire pumps (cordless air compressor)at a junk store and restored it for MrsMack, and a new Camel patching kit, it is going to be a surprise gift to her for our 38th anniversery next week......
I am still looking for a good set of tire irons to complete the gift. I know she is going to be very delighted!!!!

I dunno......seems like kind of a sad ending for a proud ol' coupe. Body looks good in the pics - couldn't it be saved? :( :( :(

Actually, I'm thinking the other way. I'm going to show this to my wife, the garden lover, and explain how this is a great way to get involved with old cars. luv2

Now dudes........the old girl is way more important as a planter box to keep them there deer dudes happy than sitting out in a field somewhere rotting away like when I found it. Besides, old Stevie Kassis from the Filling Station needs a place to dump his spare '32 parts from time to time, so I gotta keep him happy too you know. Ha ha! Now, Eddie there.......he has the right idea!

Actually, the body isn't as good as it looks in the photos, (dented, twisted, rips, rust outs and etc.) but yes, given tons of time and tons of money the body can be saved for either a stocker or for a street rod, and that may happen some day. In the meantime the deer dudes love it and the street rodders are going nuts. yipp

Hey Mackus Wackus.......actually, the car came from a Texican! He was driving it around on roller skates until his kid took the roller skates away from him. I'm now looking for one of them there SJ Duseyburg bodies to use for a chicken coupe. Do you know where I can find one???  laugh laugh

Junkyard Dog, sir- the eldest of the two daughters you are trying to get rid of- can she do any mechanics? You know I have that 1930 Coach, and I'm not very mechanical. But I am 46, a single father, an employed Art teacher; don't drink or smoke, and my prospects are good. Most importantly though, my Chevrolet (named PansyJane) and I could use some help. Please let me know. Respectfully,

Hey pj1930cc! Sold! Come and get her! Actually, you need to take both daughters. My oldest (24) does cut and buffing on paint, and she is very good at wet sanding primer also. And, she can change a set of spark plugs in a 350 in 10 minutes flat! My youngest (22) helped to put together her 1970 Impala after she rear ended a pickup truck at 50 MPH. You can't even tell that the car was ever wrecked either. You might be more interested in her though since you are an art teacher. She just got her BA degree in Art and Graphic Design this past June. Anyway, it sounds to me like you need both of these blondes to work on your 1930 coach and that way it will be done in a jiffy! Can ya come and get them tomorrow?? yipp

Leo: Yep, my wood kit arrived and I'm just letting it "age" a little before I install it in the planter box. It's gotta have that original "patina" look ya know! laugh laugh laugh laugh

Ya, I know but I can't adjust the headlight until Stevie Kassis brings me the one for the other side. He promises that he will bring it on his next trip! yipp

Color Code? Why.......it's number 119-B! The color is called......"Mountain Breeze Rust", and actually, it is a pretty common color too! How do you like it??  laugh laugh laugh

Junkyard Dog,sir: They (your daughters) are younger than I remember, I thought they were older. Heck, my daughter is 26! Well, if they can wrench on the Chevrolet, cool! I have plenty of room in the Coach for both of them. I'll be up to collect as soon as it is running better. Oregon is not too far from California, and I'll just look for the house with the bitchen planter in front. Which by the way, you don't need to give me as a dowery, you can keep it. We barely have front yards down here in So.Cal, and it looks so right, right where it is!

Filling Station Stevie: Thanks for the compliments buddy! I'm kinda proud of the restoration job myself.......and it only took about an hour and a half to do the complete restoration and I have absolutely no money in it either. All of you dudes that put new wood in your early Chevys are wasting your time! Heck, look at my job, and I did it without any wood! Ya don't need it man, and this car is living proof! Anyway Stevie boy, I will be lookin' forward to getting some more high powered, top quality '32 junk from you on your visit in Ocotber. By the way, I use my left paw to paint with and I also use it for another thing too!

Hey pj1930cc! Cool man.......how soon can ya get up here because these broads have just gotta go! Don't look for the planter box in front of the house since I live high on a hill out in the boon docks and ya can't see the planter box from the main road. Besides, it sits in back of the house anyway. Just look for the 40' tall antique Aermotor windmill sitting on the hill. When ya see that......you're here! I'll have the girls ready to go.......and, I've already had their suitcases packed for about two years now!!! laugh laugh laugh

I hope Steve brings you some nice rusty wheels and bright hubcaps, for all the Dawg Dudes that walk by.
It don't do no good to mark the cows with a big "C"... :( cause it just gives them good ole' boys a place to sight in on!

You mean those Texican hunter dudes can see well enough to sight in a gun? Wow!

Naw..........too far to go to pick up rusty wheels when I have a pile of them myself. However, I'm looking for rusty wheels with the 1930's double white wall tires still on them. This old planter box has "class" you know, so I'm picky as to which rusty part I use! ha ha!  laugh laugh laugh laugh
