Vote to indicate how you feel about deleteing older threads to save space.

This is not a useful poll. Until the Technology committee identifies the amount of space necessary to host this forum in its entirety is too big, there is no reason to delete any thread that has stayed within the boundaries of the terms of use.

Vintage James, It may be your opinion that this poll isn't serveing any purpose , but as a moderator, I don't see it that way or I would not have posted it.

I guess you voted the last option?

Thanks for your vote and for your opinion! I hope to get many votes and all comments either pro and con for deleteing threads are welcome also!

I guess I was not aware of a preceived shortage of space. Until we actually encounter such a problem it is strongly recommended that no threads be deleted except for cause.

I did not vote. And just so everyone knows...there is NO shortage of space.

When there becomes a shortage of space, moderators will be informed by myself or Bill Barker. I do not anticipate that happening any time soon.

I am very pleased to know that there is no shortage of space, that makes me pleased also because, now, I don't feel bad for useing this space for my poll!! And I hope we see more pictures and more complete answers to the questions and querys we see from those that venture this way.

It will be even better when Billy BaRRker gets that Speill Checquer workin...

This site is, to me, one of the best thing that has happened since the American Revolution and the introduction of the Chevrolet Motor Car onto the market!

Dueceman, I would have put that in (sliced bread)but I don't remember if it was before the introduction of the Chevrolet or after.........

and as to the "I Got mine..." thread, most of the posts were on topic!, and there will probably be more....

One other thought... eventually we'll get to the point where space becomes a premium, and we'll have to make some decisions.

But also, over the past two years, some very good topics have been discussed and many people have asked that they be retained and catalogued. :cool2:

Now, the software doesn't do any actual cataloging -per se- but I expect that there'll be a way in the future (maybe 6-12 months).... Therefore if we can maintain it a little bit longer, then maybe the Moderators will be given a task to flag which topics they think should be retained for history, and which ones we should delete. wazzup

In the meantime, please be judicious and error towards being conservative... unless you're voting tomorrow in New Hampshire!! (whatever THAT means!) laugh

Maybe when the Moderators flag and save the important topics they would only have to save what really pertains to the subject so it's easier to go through. Man, would that save space. Hee Hee. laugh laugh laugh
