Thursday Nov 21st, is one year since I first installed this program and began to modify it for the VCCA Chatter Board.

On December 16th, I announced it's Official Grand Opening !

A lot has happened since then. So, in keeping with the politics of the day, I guess that the question that I could ask, is:
  • Are you better off now with the Chatter Board, than you were one year ago without it?

laugh wink  wink laugh
... and ... what changes would you still like to see??

Bill, you've begun and continued an outstanding job in building and managing this forum.

It's improved my enjoyment of working on and improving my '32. I've directly utilized a lot of information that has been posted here from questions posed by myself and others. I've literally printed out completed threads and stored them in a notebook for further reference.

The General Discussion section has turned into a good way to channel general conversations constructively away from the technical sections. As probably expected, that section has gotten more lively... wink

I wouldn't think of any things to change as much as offer possibilities for future growth:

- a history forum: there has been times where really good historical questions have popped up, and it seems there might be enough traffic to sustain a seperate forum

- might there be a way to eventually store and provide a means for accessing past threads under the technical section?

- updated graemlins: minor point, but I was curious if you might be contemplating rotating some of the few underused graemlins for a couple of new ones.

Keep it going, Bill!

Ditto on all of the above! Like Chevy Nut I spend too much time on my computer visiting Chevy Chatter (eBay doesn't help much either) so Chevy Chatter, like eBay, has become a daily priority with me. I have meet some really cool dudes on this site, and renewed daily friendships with others. I like the way that you have handled this site during some "critical" times, and you have done a great job Billy Boy. Like the G&D, Chevy Chatter has become a major factor in the VCCA....thanks to you! yipp wink laugh laugh laugh laugh

Bill,

As one who signed on early to this group I consider myself a regular, even though by comparison, my posting level isn't all that high. I find myself logging on five and six times a day to see what's going on. I enjoy, but make it a point to stand outside the circle and watch the Dog fight (pun intended) between Wacky Mackie, JYD, Don, Gator, and others. I even get answers to some auto related questions I have by just watching and listening. The "Schools in Secession" thread is of great interest to me.

So, Am I better off with the Chatter Board that with out it? You Bet! Do I appreciate your efforts in setting this site up and maintaining it? You Bet! Do those who use this site owe you a huge chunk of gratitude? You Bet!

Thanks again! Oldie

This is such a great site, its an informer, it a teacher, it has humor, it's serious, its' outstanding in its knowledge and insight, it gives people a way to share and bond. It is also everything the other guys said in spades. I hope it lasts a long, long time. laugh

The only thing that would make it better would be if all of us could get together in person instead of the web. :(

I would love to see more pictures of members cars/trucks, would that create a memory problem?

Has the VCCA advertized this site in magazines like 'classic chevy' or other chevy related mags? If not I think they should. auto :cool2: ok

I must echo everything the rest have said. The site has helped me many times, sometimes before I even knew I needed help. I wonder how many VCCA TAs are one board? I know several of them answer the multitude of questions here.
Thank you Bill, for the fine job you have done and continue to do with the upkeep. Thanks to all the Moderators of this Forum as well. You have helped Bill make this such a great source of help for all that visit.

Dan.

Billy, This site and your 1931 web site have been a great help as I tear into my '31 this winter. As you and Don know, I'll have plenty of evenings to work on it. Hee Hee laugh :p I'll be back with more questions. auto

Hey Billy Boy! Those new icons are great and they help to generate the Christmas spirit! Thanks for posting them. However, I'm sure that there are a couple of dudes that might find these icons offensive too. Merry Christmas to them anyway! And........Happy Holidays to everyone on Chevy Chatter! Also, a special thanks to you Billy Boy for making Chevy Chatter possible for each and every one of us. It is most appreciated! newangel laugh

NOS coal? I think that would have to be at least 100 million years old.

Bill, thanks for making it all possible, it's a major benefit for all Chevy enthusiasts and a big step forward for the VCCA.

Darlene and I wish for all our antique auto friends a safe and happy holiday.
