For some reason the board has slowed dramatically over the past week. I've been working with the ISP but without any improvements. I've just turned off the list of Online Vistors and the performance is a little better.

I'm leaving for Canada in about 15 minutes and will try to log in from the hotel. Leave any comments here on the forum --- don't email me.

We might have to do a "major" upgrade since we've become so popular!!

Billy It may just be the space we are takeing up, I will go in and edit out some of my postings, and hope that helps.

Is there any way you can re-install the old editing feature where an author can delete the whole posting and not just the text? there used to be a delete button on the edit page.

Does anyone know what happened to the upper tool bar on the home page that listed the number of people that are on line on Chevy Chatter and who they are? For some reason it is now gone. :confused: :confused: :confused: :( :( :(

JYD I think that is what Billy Barker meant in his initial posting about removeing the Visitors online I read it twice before I understood what I think he meant.

FYI:

It appears that the board's performance has returned back to normal. Do others agree that the speed has increased since the report of the board slowing dramatically over the past week???

My speed has increased back to normal this morning, but some of the pages are still loading blank and I have to hit "reload" once or twice to get the page or pages to load. :( :rolleyes: :( :eek:

Welcome from Victoria Canada!!! We are all in a motel room reading up on the latest postings. They are good, but they don't compare to Moulsons!!

I turned off the "visitors listing" and I didn't see much of an improvement, but maybe it's gotten better... keep posting status here.

when was the forum slow last week? blank pages coming up? don't remember that happening, could have been sleep typing. maybe it didn't effect people running a P3 with a high speed digital modem? anyways it good to hear its up to speed again.

Hey Billy Boy Barker!! Noticed that the visitors list is back on and, so far, the system seems to be working fine here in Eagle Point, Oregon. Say "hi" to old Donald from all of us on this end, and we hope that he is enjoying his Coors! ha ha! I'm baaaack!!! Greetings from the Seattle area. Victoria may seem awful close to us, but it was a haul driving both directions. The traffic is pretttty bad on both sides of the border. Had a good ferry ride, however.

Stopped at the border for some duty-free booze. Then went through Customs with twice as much as you're suppose to have and the guy didn't blink an eye. It really deserved all that it won. There's a tad more to the story, but I'll let someone else spin that yarn.

Ya, I found some Model T dudes to work on my car, but I instantly discovered that they had no clue as to how to work on a Chevrolet, so I got some Chrysler dudes to do the work for me. Now.....those guys know what's going on! By the way, they don't like Budweiser either! Ya!
